I love the taste of buttermilk from cultured churned butter but sometimes I only need enough for a couple of dishes. So that’s when I turn to this quick and easy recipe which takes only minutes and taste exactly like fresh homemade buttermilk. After pouring 1 1/2 cups of milk (cream can be used ) in a mason jar I add 1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice or white vinegar.
